ELIGIBILITY Joseph Binder Award 2022
Joseph Binder Award invites graphic designers, illustrators, and design students worldwide to submit unlimited entries from 2020 onwards.
This inclusive approach fosters a global exchange of ideas, encouraging innovation in the diverse world of design.
Above all, the award aims to cultivate creativity and excellence in graphic design and illustration globally.

This competition assesses exclusively works in the field of graphic design and illustration.
SELECTION PROCESS
Two-stage jury (1. online jury, 2. offline jury)
In a first-round, the jury will rate all of the projects entered online.
Those projects scoring highest will subsequently have to be sent in the form of printed examples (if available) and be assessed physically at design forum Wien in July 2022.

The entrants have to register online at www.josephbinderaward.com
FEES AND PAYMENT
Join the competition at 115 euros, with reduced rates for members (90 euros) and students (55 euros). Additional entries cost 80 euros each, with discounts for members (65 euros) and students (40 euros).

An impartial international jury, led by experts like Claudia Siebenweiber and Steven Heller, assesses entries in two rounds.
Joseph Binder Awards recognize excellence in graphic design and illustration across categories with gold, silver, and bronze trophies.
Design Fiction winners receive cash prizes: 1st place – 2,500 euros, 2nd place – 2,000 euros, 3rd place – 1,500 euros.
Outstanding entries earn Merit Awards and catalog inclusion. The jury may withhold or reallocate awards.
Results are announced in July 2022, detailing awards. Selected works must provide high-res images for catalog inclusion.
IGDN members enjoy reduced entry fees. Global graphic designers, illustrators, agencies, and students welcome in the 2022 Joseph Binder Award.
