Dr. Babak Samimi began his undergraduate studies at UCLA where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Psycho-Biology and graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa.
He continued his graduate studies at the UCLA School of Medicine where he graduated with Honors in Surgery. He then successfully completed his internship and residency at the University of Southern California and Los Angeles County specializing in Orthopaedic Surgery. Dr. Samimi has been an author on multiple published peer-reviewed papers and has presented his research on numerous occasions.
Dr. Samimi is actively involved in academics through his role as Clinical Instructor of Orthopaedic Surgery for residents at both LAC/USC Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Doctors Hospital of West Covina Podiatric Residency program. Dr. Samimi is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Arthroscopy Association of North America and California Orthopaedic Association.
