Owners Message Moving Up was founded by Colin Mulligan & Jeff Hornell in the spring of 1998 while they were in high school.

Jeff’s neighbors were moving and needed help, Jeff’s parents owned a company that had a delivery truck, so they offered to rent them the truck. The move went exceptionally well and over the next few months, Jeff’s now ex neighbors told their friends about their experience.

That summer they did six successful moves. In the following 12 months those first 6 customers had referred so many people, they completed over 30 jobs by their next summer.

It was at that point Colin & Jeff decided to form an official moving company, and invested in all the tools and toys needed to do a topnotch move. The rest, as they say, is history. Some six years after they first started, Jeff’s business partner moved on from Moving Up.

Jeff continued on his own for another 14 years growing the business with an eager team. The business continued to grown purely by word of mouth. Past clients kept referring us based on the excellent customer service, and all the little extras we provide that help make the move go as smoothly as possible.

A move is an extremely stressful event in your life, no matter how much you try and prepare for it. We get that, and do whatever it takes to get the job done quickly and efficiently. Our team is comprised of trustworthy, bondable people of all ages. We’re friendly, professional, and reliable.
