Leeya Alvandi | Los Angeles, CA:
Los Angeles is known for its focus on beauty, and as a hair stylist, Im about beauty, but Im also about brains and all of the elements that make up a whole woman. Thats because I see myself and my clients as whole womenintelligent, strong, open-minded, courageous, individual, and beautiful. When clients come to me for hair, they get more than styling.
Hairapy is my speciality and its about talking to clients and listening to them, to understand their hair and beauty needs, and what theyre focusing on and aiming for in their lives, professionally and personally.
Hair is the exterior, and if I know where someone is coming from on the inside and what inspires them, I can create something on the outside that reflects who they truly are. I want my clients to feel complete after a hair session with me. My signature style is strong, sexy hair achieved through a combination of colour and highlights, classic or trendy cuts, treatments, and styling.
I give clients gorgeous hair with volume, shine, and the perfect touch of glamour that makes them feel confident at work and attracts some serious attention at night!
And Im passionate about maintaining healthy hair and teaching clients how to take care of their hair at home using high-quality hair products with minimal chemicals and professional styling implements that prevent damage.
I dont do unrealistic colour or styles that compromise healthy hair, and the women
I work with best understand this, because they care about healthy hair too and are willing to do their homework to keep their hair fit.
After being co-owner of a salon, I went independent in 2012, so I could focus less on business and more on the creative side. Im based at the lovely Lionel Renard salon in West Hollywood. When I’m not there, I do freelance hair and makeup stylingand my signature hairapy!for photo shoots, red carpets, weddings, house calls, and travel gigs.
My celebrity hair and makeup styling credits include Booboo Stewart for The Twilight Saga: Eclipse premiere, Grace Park of Battlestar Galactica for the cover of Audrey Magazine, and others on CBS, Fox and MTV, and in People, Hollywood Life, 944, Hair Cut & Style,
The Los Angeles Times, Nylon, PopStar!

I started working in my mothers hair salon when I was 14, completed cosmetology school at the same time I graduated high school, and worked as a hairstylist while attending the University of California, Santa Barbara, where I received a BA in Sociology.
Back in LA, I knew the stuffy atmosphere of a Beverly Hills salon wouldnt suit my open, friendly personality, so I chose the warm, inviting Parlour on Third, where I was a stylist and then co-owner as well from 2005 to 2012.
I spent part of 2010 and 2011 in London, England, continuing my education with advanced cut and colour courses Vidal Sassoon Academy.
