Meet Briana Briana Banayan is a leading special education attorney practicing in the Southern California area.

After graduating summa cum laude from UCLA, she received her law degree and certificate in alternative dispute resolution from Pepperdine University School of Law.

Her passion to assist families with special needs was sparked on her first day as a mediation extern at the Los Angeles Unified School District Special Education Due Process Unit upon witnessing the results when special education students and their parents were given a voice.

Briana knew from that experience that her calling was to provide families with the information, means, and strength to advocate for their children.

Briana has since represented families at the most prominent special education law firms and advocated their needs through every level of the process, from assessment procurement and IEP meetings to due process mediations and federal appeals.

She feels grateful to get so much meaning and joy from her work each day.
